We love a good beachfront rental as much as the next person, and luckily, these Airbnb beach houses are all located a short distance from enviable stretches of sand and surf—we're talking capital "B" beaches here, like Camps Bay Beach (Cape Town), Bondi Beach (Sydney), and Venice Beach (Los Angeles). Whether you just want a place to lay your head between beach days or a home that lets you choose between the ocean and a pool, there's something here for everyone.
As a bonus, all of these selections are run by Superhosts, who each have a rating of 4.8 or above, a record of zero cancellations, and at least a 90 percent response rate, meaning they'll get back to you before you can even grab your sun hat.

Cape Town Airbnb beach house
Cape Town Airbnb beach house
Camps Bay Beach, Cape Town
Visiting Camps Bay Beach, the livelier of Cape Town's stretches of sand, is one of our must-dos while visiting the South African city. Just five minutes from the beach, this three-bedroom penthouse villa is all about the views: of the beach below, Lion's Head to the north, and the iconic Table Mountain at its back. You can enjoy them from a private glass pool, bedroom balconies, or from inside the living room, thanks to crystal clear, floor-to-ceiling windows—take your pick.

Best Beach Airbnb - Mykonos

That said, it's a 10-minute drive down to the beaches of Mykonos should you want to take a dip in the ocean, too. Beyond the poolside lounge chairs and outdoor dining table, the Airbnb can sleep up to six inside—four on beds (a double and two twins) and two on the sofa bed. It comes with a free parking spot, if you're driving, and fresh towels offered daily.

Sydney Airbnb beach house
Sydney Airbnb beach house
Bondi Beach, Sydney
We love Bondi Beach—like, a lot—thanks to its sweeping, kilometer-long curve of golden sand, split up into areas for swimmers, surfers, bodyboarders, and bodysurfers. This Airbnb, a two-minute walk away, is the perfect place to stay for maximum beach (and Instagrammable rock pool) time. The two-bedroom apartment has a Boho-chic, beachy vibe, with a wraparound balcony to enjoy the sun to its fullest. Plus, since Bondi is less than five miles from Sydney's center, you can still explore the rest of what one of the world's loveliest cities has to offer.

Bali Airbnb beach house
Bali Airbnb beach house
Pandawa Beach, Bali, Indonesia
Sure, you can take a drive over to bustling Canggu, a surfer's haven with yoga studios galore (we're partial to The Practice and Desa Seni). Or, you can go for absolute serenity at this three-bedroom cliffside villa on Pandawa Beach, about 30 minutes south of Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport. Here, there's not one, but two private infinity pools, along with access to the beach below, and a housekeeper and personal butler included in the stay (a chef and driver can be added at an additional fee).

Best Beach Airbnb - Dominican Republic
Best Beach Airbnb - Dominican Republic
Bavaro, Dominican Republic
It doesn't get much closer to the beach than this. Walk down the steps of this thatched hut (with all the modern amenities you need, Wi-Fi and air conditioning included) onto the white sand beach in the Dominican Republic's Uvero Alto neighborhood, about 40 minutes from Punta Cana. Reviewers note you can hear the waves crashing outside the balcony window, and raved about the Superhost, Jose. He stocks the fridge with plenty of food and offers a generous number of towels to use for bathing and the beach. Inside, there is a king-size bed, a living area, and a small but fully-equipped kitchen.

No, this three-bedroom Airbnb doesn't have beach views. But it does have views of the jungle and ancient Mayan ruins from the floor-to-ceiling windows or private rooftop pool (there's a common area pool, too). Tulum's best beaches, though, are only about a 15-minute bike ride away, and the famed cenotes are within driving distance.

Nevis Airbnb beach house
Nevis Airbnb beach house
Cades Bay, Nevis
Nevis, an almost perfectly-round Leeward island just shy of sister St. Kitts, is about as laid-back of a place as you’ll ever find. Set directly on the sands of northwestern Cades Bay, this Airbnb, with two bedrooms and two baths, takes its cue from ultra-modern architecture on nearby St. Barts—all of the living spaces can be opened up to the elements.
